Aristocrat Gaming kicked off this year’s Global Gaming Expo with a much anticipated reveal: Monopoly Big Board Bucks, the company’s first slot machine under its new licensing partnership with Hasbro since acquiring the land-based slot rights in July.
In typical Aristocrat fashion, the moment was spectacular. The reveal was staged dramatically on the G2E show floor, where executives from both companies literally “opened the vault” to reveal the new game.
“Monopoly is one of the most globally recognized brands, and we wanted to ensure that Aristocrat’s take on the license evoked both excitement and familiarity,” said Craig Toner, CEO of Aristocrat Gaming. “Big Board Bucks combines the classic elements of the board game with the visual energy, sound, and innovation players expect from Aristocrat.”
Hasbro Director of Gaming Relationship Claire Hunter Gregson, called the partnership a natural fit. “We’re thrilled to see Monopoly come to life in a new way that connects with adult audiences through the casino experience,” she said.
Monopoly Big Board Bucks immediately evokes nostalgia, allowing players to choose their game tokens. Remember the dog, the shoe, and my personal favorite, the race car? The gameplay itself features triple metamorphic gameplay around Extra Spins, Extra Properties, and Extra Houses that can independently or combine to trigger the Big Board Bucks Bonus. The bonus will feel familiar to slot fans who love the Mo Mummy bonus style, but with some new twists. A fourth metamorphic, Free Games, adds another layer of bonus potential.
The game will debut on Aristocrat’s Baron Portrait cabinet, with eye-catching signage and configuration options designed to stand out on casino floors.
As an avid slot player myself, this is one that I will definitely be looking forward to playing on the casino floor. Monopoly Big Board Bucks is expected to be available for North American casinos in early 2026.
