MGM Resorts International Tuesday announced that Tilak Mandadi has been hired for the newly created position of Chief Strategy, Innovation and Technology Officer.
Mandadi, formerly an executive with Disney and American Express, will be in charge of MGM’s digital strategy; lead corporate strategy and innovation; and will manage the company’s relationship with BetMGM. Mandadi also will join MGM’s board of directions and report to MGM Resorts CEO Bill Hornbuckle in Las Vegas.
“Tilak’s experiences at both Disney and American Express, along with his high-caliber track record as a visionary, results-driven leader, will be invaluable as we emerge from the pandemic,” said Hornbuckle in a statement, “and continue growing our premier global gaming entertainment business and channels through innovative, customer-centric technology platforms and an ever-expanding digital, gaming and entertainment footprint.”
Mandadi, who will join MGM July 6, was most recently the executive vice president of digital and global chief technology officer for Disney Parks, Experiences and Products. He led growth strategies for theme parks, resort hotels, and cruise line, and supported global licensing, publishing, and games businesses at Disney.

MGM Resorts Chairman of the Board Paul J. Salem said Mandadi will join a management team focused on strategies tied to innovative customer experiences and digital- and data-driven business transformation.
