InfiGifts has enhanced its platform by introducing new ways for casinos to run gifting events, with added modalities and redemption methods – all of which will be showcased at the Global Gaming Expo in Las Vegas.
InfiGifts is a platform that allows gifts to be claimed from a players’ club representative, casino kiosk, and players’ smartphone from within the property – and it now has added email gift integration and point shopping using its app.
“It’s been important for us to invest in a variety of modalities and gift claim methods to allow players to get their gift rewards and for casinos to deliver those rewards in the most efficient way possible,” said InfiGifts founder Azam Husain. “In order to support that, we have expanded the way that casinos can run gifting events on the InfiGifts platform.”
Husain said email is the preferred digital communication method for most casinos, widely used in direct mail and special promotions. InfiGifts added the option after hearing from its customers about the importance of supporting email gifting.
Here’s how it works:
Players attend a hosted event at the casino, such as a VIP or special promotional event, and their attendance is recorded. The next day, players receive an email containing a custom link or QR code that allows them to claim the gift of their choice.
No additional contact details are required from the player who simply opens the email and selects their gift.
There are plenty of benefits for players, Husain said.
- It’s fast and efficient, for one. Players receive an email the next day, with no need for further data entry and no re-entering contact details or player card information.
- It’s convenient. Players are spared from having to carry gifts around the property.
- It offers gift optionality. Players can select exactly what they want.
There are numerous benefits for casinos as well, Husain said. Among them:
- No large-scale purchases or minimums. Operators only pay for the gifts that players redeem, and there are no purchase minimums for most gift items.
- No gift logistics. The casino is relieved from the need to meticulously plan for the delivery of gift products to the property.
- Reduced staffing costs. There’s no need for additional staffing on the day of the event, freeing up casino resources for other activities.
- No storage costs. Gifts are delivered directly to the player’s home address, eliminating the need for on-property storage.
- No large-scale returns. Only the gifts that are redeemed are delivered, eliminating the risk of costly returns.
Scarlet Pearl Casino Resort in Mississippi will be the first to implement email gifting integration in September.
“InfiGifts allows us to facilitate a huge variety of quality gift promotions without the operational headaches associated with product storage and logistics,” said Vicki Haskins, director of casino marketing at Scarlet Pearl. “Additionally, InfiGifts provides us with a seamless reward process directly to our guests.”
The second new method to be launched covers point shopping via the InfiGifts app, taking the place of a web portal that wasn’t integrated with the casino management system. Casino patrons can use their points to purchase products on the InfiGifts platform.
The app is connected to the property’s casino management system to allow the debit of the points from the player balance, Husain said.
The system is convenient for players who can choose their gifts from wherever they are at. They can claim what they want, he noted.
“The benefit for the casino is it expands the type of rewards that are offered to players,” Husain said. “Players can see there’s additional value associated with the points they are earning at the property. Usually those points get converted over to free play, but now they can convert those to products they can purchase.”
American Place Casino in Waukegan, Illinois will be the first to implement point shopping using the InfiGifts app directly connected with the Konami SYNKROS casino management system. The solution will go live with players this fall.
“Points shopping will offer our players greater flexibility in how they use their points,” said Bronsen Hiraoka, director of marketing at American Place Casino. “The InfiGifts app enhances our operations by seamlessly integrating with our casino management system, providing us with unparalleled flexibility and a superior experience.”
