Galaxy Gaming, the world’s largest independent developer and distributor of casino table games and technology, is set to make a splash in January when it starts placing its Hasbro-themed games of MONOPOLY and YAHTZEE in the nation’s casinos.

At G2E, Galaxy showcased the two Hasbro brands reimagined for table games as part of a multi-year agreement granting the operator to be its exclusive table games licensee. Galaxy also has the rights to the game BATTLESHIP.

These legendary titles have been transformed into thrilling new table game experiences, offering players a fresh way to engage with the classic gameplay they know and love, said Steve Cvetkoski, Galaxy Gaming’s Vice President of Product. Players will instantly recognize the signature elements of each game, now enhanced with engaging graphics and progressive features designed to engage and attract both seasoned players and newcomers, he added.

“MONOPOLY is one of the most popular brands in the world. Bringing it to the casino floor in table games is a big deal. I think it’s special for the table games industry as a whole to see other licensed brands come to the floor. The visuals are the key, and we’re excited to get them out there in January. It’s the most visually stunning thing we’ve ever done at Galaxy,” Cvetkoski said.

The Las Vegas-headquartered Galaxy Gaming is redefining the visual landscape of the table games pit with the debut of its new LED merchandising display by making their first appearance on the MONOPOLY table games, Cvetkoski said. Designed to rival the spectacle of the slot floor, these displays bring vibrant energy and elevated branding to the pit, creating a more immersive and engaging player experience, he noted.

“We showed the MONOPOLY Progressive on four tables at G2E,” Cvetkoski said. “We had blackjack, poker, and carnival-style games. The YAHTZEE Progressive was paired with a game called-3 Dice Duel. We showcased what our vision is for these two titles, and we are now looking forward to releasing them in January.”

The Monopoly game consists of two optional side bets that make the player eligible for progressive linkable jackpots based on posted combinations and a must-hit-by Community Chest jackpot. The demonstration model shows a $5 bet on one Monopoly bet and a $10 bet on the other. Players may bet on one, both, or neither.

Before each round, the Monopoly video screen mounted on the table shows an animated Mr. Monopoly multiplying the pays for specific winning hands, raising them by 1.5 to 10 times the base amount. The increase applies only to that round.

“We wanted to make it available for any table game,” said Cvetkoski. “You’re not playing the MONOPOLY board game, but you want the look and feel of MONOPOLY. If you sit down to play blackjack or a hold-em-style game, that progressive is still based on the quality of your hand. The MONOPOLY progressive adds that MONOPOLY feel and theming by putting Mr. MONOPOLY front and center as the emcee.”

The hands are in the form of property spaces like on the MONOPOLY board game. Each one correlates to a hand from the best to the lowest. The payout is listed where the traditional rent for the properties would be, so it looks and feels like MONOPOLY, Cvetkoski said.

“Mr. MONOPOLY is always moving and bringing in special features like the multipliers that increase pay for players every single game and every single round,” he explained. “He comes in with the house and hotel pieces which select which hands are multiplied.”

The main concept behind the game is building onto your spaces, with more buildings correlating to a higher pay, Cvetkoski said. If someone has a straight flush in their hand, Mr. MONOPOLY might drop a hotel on that property, and now that pay has dramatically increased to 10 times what it originally was.

With the YAHTZEE progressive, Galaxy also aimed to bring the look and feel of that well-known game to a casino dice game, using six dice instead of the traditional five, in two dice shakers.

“On the progressive end of things, we’re looking for YAHTZEEs and straights and five out of six YAHTZEEs and five out of six straights, so you have that feel of looking for YAHTZEE-style hands on the dice,” Cvetkoski said. “It’s very much like a YAHTZEE game. It is visually nostalgic with doodling and writing, and very much looks like what you expect YAHTZEE to look like.”

Cvetkoski reported that the response was excellent at G2E to the games, especially for MONOPOLY since it has the option of several table games. Everyone was wowed by the graphics and theming.

YAHTZEE, shown on one table at G2E, drew a lot of interest as well.

“It drew a lot of attention, and people loved it,” Cvetkoski said. “They loved the presentation, and there’s a real interest in the game today.”
