Florida: Slot revenue up 0.8% year-over-year in December

Florida’s commercial casinos generated $58.6 million in slot revenue for December, up 0.8% year-over-year.

According to the latest report from the Florida Gaming Control Commission, two casinos saw revenue rise by double-digits year-over-year, including Magic City Casino, which rose 15% year-over-year to $12.8 million, and Casino at Dania, up 10.1% to $4.7 million.

Hialeah Park Casino was the only other venue to see revenue increase, rising 3.2% to $8.3 million.

Big Easy Casino recorded the biggest decline of the month, with revenue dropping 8.4% to $3.3 million. Casino Calder dropped 8.2% to $7.1 million.

Gulfstream Park Racing & Casino saw revenue fall 5% to $4.7 million, Casino Miami was down 4.9% to $7 million, and Harrah’s Pompano Beach, dropped 3.1% to $10.7 million.
