The Florida Gaming Control Commission has reported slot revenues from the state’s commercial casinos dropped 7.3 percent year-over-year in September, down to $51.7 million compared to $55.8 million in 2023.

The September numbers continue a rollercoaster start to fiscal year 2024/25, with revenues dropping year-over-year in July before displaying growth in August.

The most significant contributor to the decline was Harrah’s Pompano Beach, which is listed under The Isle Casino & Racing at Pompano Park in the report. It posted a year-over-year revenue decrease of 16.6 percent to $8.9 million.

That drop saw the casino lose its title as the largest contributor to state revenue, which passed on to the more than $9.2 million collected by Magic City Casino, which was a 9.3 percent fall year-over-year.

Two of the eight casinos included in the report posted growth. Big Easy Casino and Gulfstream Park Racing and Casino had gains of 3.9 percent and 5.9 percent, respectively.
