Florida’s eight non-tribal casinos reported $60.1 million in net slot revenue for August, up 9.4% from the previous year’s $54.9 million.
The figures, published by the Florida Gaming Control Commission, show that of the eight casinos, seven reported year-over-year revenue increases. Two casinos reported double-digit revenues for August.
Magic City generated the highest slot revenue last month, recording $13.1 million, up 35.2% year-over-year from $9.7 million. Harrah’s Pompano Beach was the other casino to record a double-digit revenue figure, rising from $9.8 million to $10.6 million, a year-over-year increase of 7.7%.
Other year-over-year revenue increases came from Casino at Dania (9.4%), Gulfstream Park (5.5%), Hialeah Park (2.9%), Big Easy (2.6%), and Calder Race Course (2.1%).
The only casino to report a year-over-year decline was Casino Miami. Slot revenue dropped from $7.9 million to $7.4 million, down 6%.
Net slot revenue also was up month-over-month, rising from $58.2 million to $60.1 million, a 3% increase compared to July.
