Florida commercial casino revenue rises 5.7% year-over-year in January, generating $63.2 million

Florida’s eight commercial casinos generated $63.2 million in January, up 5.7% year-over-year.

According to the latest report from the Florida Gaming Control Commission, Magic City Casino recorded the highest revenue and year-over-year rise in January, up 19.3% to $14.3 million. Gulfstream Park Racing & Casino also saw a double-digit revenue increase, rising 11.7% to just less than $6 million.

Other casinos that saw year-over-year revenue rises were Harrah’s Pompano Beach, up 8.8% to $12.5 million; and the Big Easy Casino, up 4.3% from to $3.5 million.

Calder Casino saw the largest year-over-year revenue decline, falling 5.9% to $7.4 million, while Hialeah Park Casino fell 2.9% to $7.7 million.

Casino Miami and Casino at Dania Beach saw revenue remain stable in January. Casino Miami saw a 0.1% increase, generating just more than $7 million, while Casino at Dania Beach remained flat at $4.9 million.
