Marking the beginning of Responsible Gaming Education Month, FanDuel has partnered with former NBA player Randy Livingston to launch a responsible gaming program named “Trusted Voices: Conversations About Betting.”

Livingston, who previously struggled with a gambling problem, joins FanDuel’s Responsible Gaming Ambassador Program alongside with wife, Anita Smith. Together, they share their family’s journey, aiming to help others in similar situations.

The pair have created educational resources that provide guidance on discussing gambling, recognizing warning signs and understanding gambling risks.

“It is important to normalize conversations about gambling, and this program is intended to help families get comfortable with traditionally uncomfortable conversations,” Smith said in a news release. “Randy and I are delighted to work with FanDuel to amplify the program’s content and drive positive outcomes for young people and anyone who may be struggling with problem gambling.”

“Randy and Anita have an incredible story and a desire to help others, and we are excited to expand our advocacy program to raise awareness of the importance of having early and informed family conversations about gambling and the associated risks,” Alison Kutler, Vice President of Responsible Gaming and Community Impact at FanDuel, said in the release.

FanDuel also announced it was expanding its relationship with Kindbridge Behavioral Health, now offering self-excluded people in all states access to Kindbridge’s support services. The companies partnered this year in recognition of the National Council on Problem Gambling’s Problem Gambling Awareness Month.
