FanDuel Thursday announced a multi-year partnership deal to become the official sports betting partner of the Buffalo Sabres. The agreement gives the Flutter Entertainment-owned company exclusive rights to branding, sports betting odds and promotions during Sabres’ broadcasts.
“We’re excited to partner with the Sabres to infuse sports betting content into the hockey viewing experience,” said FanDuel Group CMO Mike Raffensperger in a statement. “This is just the beginning for New York sports fans and partnering with a fellow leader in the sports and entertainment industry lets us collaborate to take things to the next level.”
FanDuel will receive exclusive end-to-end broadcast integration in all phases of Sabres broadcasts, including pregame, in-game, intermissions, and postgame. The hockey game broadcasts will feature FanDuel sports betting segments during the pregame show, and after the first and second-period intermissions. Real-time betting odds from the FanDuel Sportsbook will be integrated throughout the broadcast.
FanDuel also will have the right to use official Sabres marks and logos in marketing and in-arena signage for all of the hockey team’s home games.
The Sabres are owned by Pegula Sports & Entertainment, which also owns the NFL’s Buffalo Bills, the Buffalo Bandits and the Rochester Knighthawks of the National Lacrosse League, and the Rochester Americans of the American Hockey League.
