Entain Thursday announced it is doubling the headcount at its in-house games studios to better provide customers with new and exclusive products and materials.

Within a year, the headcount will increase to approximately 300 people at Entain’s in-house studios in the United Kingdom, Italy and India.

“We love giving our customers great experiences and exciting entertainment, as that is the bedrock of what we do,” said Entain CEO Jette Nygaard-Andersen in a statement. “Increasing our investment across all three of our in-house games studios will provide more of that for our customers across all our global brands.”

In addition, CR Games, Entain’s UK games studio near Oldham, Manchester, will initially create eight new roles to bring its headcount to almost 50.

Recent new Entain content includes free-to-play slots tournaments, believed to be the first of their kind, that enable customers to play free games of their choice and win cash prizes. Over 30,000 customers of Entain’s Coral brand in the UK entered following a launch in June, with international customers of Gala, Party and bwin expected to join this summer.

More than 70% of BetMGM customers in the U.S. enjoy exclusive content from Entain, including MGM Grand Millions, Borgata Cash Spinner, Premium Blackjack Pro, and Bison’s Fury slot game.

BetMGM is a partnership between MGM Resorts International and Entain.

Win Studios, based in Hyderabad, India, is developing 30 new products specifically for customers of BetMGM this year. Entain also is developing new experiences using immersive technologies. The group’s first virtual reality product for customers – a multi-activity sports club – is due later this year.

“By widening our offer with new and exclusive games, such as free-to-play tournaments, we give existing and new customers more reasons to use our products.”  Nygaard-Andersen said. “This not only helps to grow our business but brings fresh insight, so we can further improve the offer for our customers.”
