Encore Boston Harbor recently enlisted a data science company from the Netherlands to improve the performance of electronic gaming machines. ReelMetrics BV on June 20 entered a formal subscription agreement with Wynn MA, owner of the casino.

“What began as a downtime exploration of our ReelMetrics Basic plan has culminated in a strategic conversion to ReelMetrics Pro, which will help Encore Boston Harbor attack the post-pandemic landscape with incremental efficiency,” said ReelMetrics Director of North American Sales Tim Warrner in a statement.

ReelMetrics services include evaluating cabinet and game purchases, pre-screening configuration changes, and identifying receptive player segments.

According to Encore Boston Harbor Director of Slots C. J. Landau, ReelMetrics provides the casino an easy way to track slot performances, lifecycles, and player adoption.

“The integration is simple, upkeep is minimal, and support and training are done by those who have worked in the slot-performance field,” Landau said in a statement. “We have used ReelMetrics to help guide decisions on conversions, purchases, sales, game retention, and all areas of slot performance. It’s a key factor in our development of the long-term vision of our slot floor.”

In a statement, Encore Boston Harbor’s Executive Vice President of Operations Jenny Holiday said the agreement with ReelMetrics eliminates all guesswork from slot placement decisions.

“It’s a really affordable insurance policy on some of the resort’s largest purchases,” Holiday said.
