El Cortez in Las Vegas promotes Adam Wiesberg to general manager

Adam Wiesberg has been promoted to general manager of the El Cortez Hotel & Casino in Downtown Las Vegas, property owner Kenneth Epstein announced Wednesday.

Wiesberg has been a part of the El Cortez executive team since 2017, most recently as assistant general manager. He began his tenure at the property as a blackjack dealer and moved his way up through the ranks of casino shift manager and director of marketing.

“Adam is the right man for the job,” Epstein said in a statement. “He is made for this position and will continue to be a strong asset to the El Cortez’s future in Las Vegas.”

Wiesberg, a self-described perfectionist with a passion for gaming has been praised for his leadership ability and growing casino operations at the El Cortez.

“Through a combination of game mix adjustments, table limit increases, a cutting-edge pit player tracking system and an emphasis on providing excellent customer service we have seen phenomenal growth in our table games department,” Wiesberg said.

He hopes to expand El Cortez’s notoriety by preserving the property’s rich history, while introducing room upgrades and embracing new technology.

“With outstanding gaming odds and our new room inventory located in Las Vegas’ hottest neighborhood, I think the future is very bright for the El Cortez,” Wiesberg said.
