DraftKings Wednesday announced the launch of its online sportsbook and casino products in Ontario, Canada. The province’s 14.6 million population makes it DraftKings’ second-largest market, behind only New York’s 19.8 million.

Including DraftKings, there are currently 13 approved sportsbook apps in Ontario, notably BetMGM, Caesars Sportsbook, theScore Bet, and FanDuel.

“DraftKings’ entry into Canada with our online sportsbook and online casino products is a significant milestone in our expansion efforts as we reach nearly 40-percent of Canada’s total population,” said DraftKings Co-founder, Chairman and CEO Jason Robins in a statement. “We look forward to providing the passionate fanbase in Ontario with the most entertaining and responsible gaming experience possible.”

DraftKings’ sportsbook app will allow Ontario residents legal and regulated opportunities to wager on sports leagues and events such as the NHL Playoffs, Major League Soccer, Major League Baseball, and the FIFA World Cup. The fantasy sports and sports betting provider also will offer more than 130 variations of online casino games, including baccarat, blackjack, roulette, and slots.

Bettors will have gaming options including DraftKings’ same-game-parlay feature through the sportsbook app.

DraftKings will also feature its S. E. R. V. E. S. program, which provides inclusive and responsible pathways for people to build, create, imagine, and innovate. Responsible gaming is a pillar of S. E. R. V. E. S., protecting customers through technology, employee training, resources and evidence-based research.
