PrizePicks, which bills itself as “the largest daily fantasy sports operator in North America,” is moving from one site in Atlanta to a new headquarters in the Georgia city.

The Star Metal Building in downtown Atlanta will be the new PrizePicks campus. The site was chosen in order to accommodate expected growth in staffing. PrizePicks plans to hire an additional 1,000 employees between now and 2031.

“This move to Star Metals will help us create more high-skilled and high-wage jobs in our great city, while we deepen our connections across the community,” said PrizePicks CEO Adam Wexler. Star Metals is part of a mixed-use development in the West Midtown area of Atlanta.

Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp, a former opponent of sports betting, hailed the move. “Georgia continues to be a driver of tech growth and innovation, attracting innovative companies with its unique mix of talent and infrastructure,” read his official statement.

“Today’s announcement is a reminder of our strength in both welcoming new projects as well as creating an atmosphere where existing businesses can expand and thrive. I look forward to seeing the impact of these thousand jobs on the Atlanta community,” Kemp concluded, reminding PrizePicks of its hiring pledge.

Additional congratulations came from Metro Atlanta Chamber CEO Katie Kirkpatrick. She added that the area “has all the ingredients to help PrizePicks thrive, including diverse tech talent graduating from our leading colleges and universities, global connectivity through our airport, a large and engaged business community, and a desirable quality of life.”

Recently named as one of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution’s “Top Workplaces,” PrizePicks is operational in neighboring Tennessee and Alabama and offers some DFS contests in Georgia.
