Compliable, the gaming license platform provider based in Denver (and formerly known as Rebric), Thursday announced the appointment of Carl Sottosanti to its board of advisors.
Sottosanti retired as general counsel of Penn National Gaming in November 2020 after more than 17 years with the gaming operator.
“We are thrilled to have Carl join our advisory board as he brings a unique combination of industry expertise that will help us develop our platform further and scale our business going forward,” said Compliable CEO Chris Oltyan in a statement. “We really value his input and guidance and look forward to working together.”
At Penn National, Sottosanti focused on development opportunities, compliance, and corporate governance. He helped lead legal and regulatory efforts surrounding Penn National’s acquisitions of Hollywood Casino Corporation and Argosy Gaming, and advised on labor and employment issues.
Prior to joining Penn National, Sottosanti worked at Sanchez Computer Associates, an international banking software company; Salient Three Communication, a telecom company; and the Philadelphia law firm Schnader Harrison. In June 2021, Sottosanti was appointed to the board of directors of Fubo Gaming, a division of fuboTV.
“I am pleased to join the advisory board of Compliable, a company that has found a solution to the very real and growing employee licensing challenges faced by all operators and vendors,” Sottosanti said in a statement. “From my own experience in the sector, I understand how vital Compliable’s platform is and I’m looking forward to working together during this very exciting time for the US gaming industry.”
