I just got back from a trip to Potawatomi Casino Hotel in Milwaukee, and let me tell you, it was great! From the gaming to the food to the service, everything was perfect.
I played and filmed a little bit of everything this trip: table games, video poker, and of course, slots. The casino floor is huge with two stories full of classic favorites (think Mr. Cashman and a couple of the mechanical wheel video poker machines) and all the new titles players want, including IGT’s recently released Wheel of Fortune Poker which I love since I recently scored a dealt Royal worth $7,500 on a $5 bet. Go me!

While the gaming floor is perfectly aligned and easy to navigate despite its large size, the real highlight for me was spending time in the 1833 Club. It’s Potawatomi’s VIP gaming lounge, and I was excited when they handed me that coveted Flame card allowing entry. It’s honestly such a great space that felt exclusive but not stuffy, with a selection of high- and low-limit machines and tables, plus complimentary food and drinks.

Speaking of food, we ended up eating at Dream Dance Steakhouse not once, but twice ,during our stay. I have no regrets! Our server, Oliver, was fantastic. He made us feel at home and offered spot-on recommendations. We felt totally spoiled with champagne, crab legs, and the Japanese Wagyu steak that was melt-in-your-mouth delicious. I can’t forget to mention the carrot cake: it was so good that I actually ordered a second slice to take home with me. No shame!

Between the relaxing hotel stay, the top-notch service, and all the gaming action, this was one of those trips that reminded me why I love casino getaways so much. Potawatomi really delivered on every level, and yes, I’m already thinking about when I can go back. After all, I didn’t get to take a picture with the Bronze Fonz, so I guess that means I don’t have a choice.
