Colorado casinos generated $90.7 million in September, a 3.8% decrease from the $94.2 million generated in September of the previous year.
According to the latest report from the Colorado Department of Revenue, which reports casinos by region instead of by individual casino, revenue declined year-over-year in all three areas.
The Central City region saw the most significant year-over-year revenue decline of 9.8%, dropping from $6.6 million to $5.9 million. Slots revenue was down 9%, falling to $5.8 million. Table games revenue was down 38.8% to $107,925 from $176,324.
The Black Hawk region generated the highest revenue of $68.5 million, a decline of 3.2% from $70.7 million. Slots revenue fell 4.5% to $55.1 million, while table games revenue increased 2.8% to $13.3 million.
The Cripple Creek region also saw profits decline, dropping 3.9% from $16.9 million to $16.2 million. Table games saw the most significant decline, 15.5%, down to $748,653. Slot revenue fell by 3.4% to $15.5 million.
Statewide slot revenue totaled $76.5 million, a 4.7% decrease from $80.2 million, while table game revenue increased 1.3% from $14 million to $14.2 million.
