Chamonix, Full House Resorts’s $250 million Colorado resort-casino, has begun taking reservations for a December 26 opening as planned. The Cripple Creek property features 300 hotel rooms, including what are billed as “the first luxury guest rooms in the Cripple Creek market, skillfully blending the comfort and charm of Colorado with European elegance.”

The new resort will afford a larger casino floor than the adjoining precursor Bronco Billy’s Casino (which remains open). It will also feature an upper-end restaurant operated by Barry Dakake, known for his Las Vegas steakhouse, Barry’s Downtown Prime, at the downtown Circa. Full House and Circa are sometime business partners.

Chamonix also boasts a new spa and a rooftop pool, though perhaps not for swimming in late December. Said General Manager Baxter Lee, “Cripple Creek is an area with a rich history that we wanted to honor with this new property. We set out to create a casino and hotel that the residents of this town can be proud of. This will be a special place to visit.”
