The stylish cocktail event — presented in partnership with Global Gaming Women — honored this year’s 10 Women Rising in Gaming and welcomed nearly 200 guests. Captured among the evening’s photos are scenes of all 10 honorees receiving their trophies on stage.
Running from 6pm to 8pm, the Day Zero Party offered a mix of stand-up and sit-down mingling with hors d’oeuvres, free-flowing beer, champagne, and wine, providing guests an opportunity to connect before diving into the bustle of G2E week.
Short speeches were delivered by Andrew W Scott, Group CEO of CDC Gaming; Carlos Castro, President and CFO of Resorts World Las Vegas; Lauren Bates, GGW President and Board Chair; and Rege Behe, CDC Gaming Lead Contributor. The evening also featured a surprise career recognition for Jim McGlasson, CDC Gaming’s longtime Advertising Manager, who has moved to a support role for CDC Gaming’s new Head of Sales and Client Relationships Kim Faulds and will retire at year’s end after 56 years in media. Brandi Ellis, GGW Board Member and Second Vice President, served as emcee.
The event marked the first held under the CDC Events brand, launched following the January 2025 merger between CDC Gaming and Inside Asian Gaming (IAG). The new brand combines IAG’s extensive events experience in Asia with CDC’s established presence in the Americas.
CDC Gaming looks forward to welcoming you to future CDC Events in 2026, including the 2026 Pre-G2E Day Zero Party on September 27, 2026.
A special thank-you goes to Resorts World Las Vegas, the Venue Sponsor, whose support made the evening possible.
