Nebraska casinos generated $25.9 million in revenue in January, up 46.5% year-over-year, boosted by two casinos opening permanent locations.
According to the latest report from the Nebraska Racing and Gaming Commission, slots generated $21.6 million statewide, up 50%; table games revenue rose 38% to $2.5 million; electronic table games rose 27.2% to $750,243; and retail sports betting generated just more than $1 million, up 19.2% from.
Of the state’s five casinos, Grand Island Casino, which opened a new casino in April, saw the most significant revenue rise, increasing 68.7% to $4.9 million. Slots revenue in the casino rose 75.2%, table games revenue rose 42.8%, and sports betting revenue rose 237.6% to $146,656. Electronic table games revenue declined 52.6% to $58,090.
Other casinos to see revenue rise were the WarHorse Casino Omaha, the state’s highest revenue generator in January, which generated $9.7 million, up 54.8%, after opening on its permanent location. Its sister casino, WarHorse Casino Lincoln, also saw a double-digit revenue rise, up 22.7% year-over-year to $8.2 million, despite seeing declines in electronic table games and sports betting revenue.
Harrah’s Columbus Casino also saw revenue increase, rising 15.6% year-over-year to $2.2 million, with sports betting revenue rising 270.5% to $101,751, and electronic table games rising 97.7% to $101,584.
Lake Mac Casino, which opened in August 2024, generated $998,607 from offering slots, electronic table games, and sports betting.
