Valley View Casino & Hotel, owned by the San Pasqual Band of Indians, is partnering with the ALS Association of Greater San Diego for the 8th annual ALS Fiesta Foundraiser. The event takes place May 10 and will be hosted by former Bachelor contestant, influencer, advocate and caregiver Sarah Trott, who recently lost her father to ALS.

The event will benefit the ALS Association’s mission to discover more treatments and a cure for the disease, as well as to serve, advocate for, and empower families and caregivers affected by ALS.

“It is such an honor and privilege for our team to host this very special night to support as many families as possible that are affected by ALS,” said Valley View General Manager Bruce Howard in a statement. “We are very proud and honored to support such a worthwhile cause and the amazing ALS Family. Every year we look forward to seeing all of our friends from the ALS Community while learning more about the progress being made by the ALS Association every day.”

The fundraiser will feature a gourmet dinner from Valley View’s restaurant chefs, and silent and online auctions.

“At 19 years old, my dad was diagnosed with ALS,” Trott said. “The journey ahead of me wasn’t what I had planned but I now see I was meant to help others in their caregiving journeys. Finding a support system, whether it be in your own backyard or across the country, is why I started a support group for caregivers. People need to depend on one another, especially upon learning of a diagnosis like ALS.”

Valley View has hosted the fundraiser six times.
