Jamul Casino Resort Monday announced that Lori Ware has been named its Chief Financial Officer.
She joins the Jamul, California, casino resort, owned and operated by the Jamul Indian Village Development Corporation, having worked in the gaming and hospitality sectors for two decades.
According to a news release, Ware’s focus will be on driving operational excellence and strategic financial leadership as Jamul Casino Resort continues to expand, with a hotel tower and spa scheduled to open this year.
“We are thrilled to welcome Lori as our new Chief Financial Officer,” Jamul Casino Resort President and General Manager Mary Cheeks said in a statement. “Her extensive expertise in tribal gaming operations and impressive track record of financial leadership will be extremely valuable as we continue to enhance our guest experience and prepare for the opening of our new, luxury hotel tower this summer.”
Ware began her career in finance before advancing to executive leadership positions in the gaming industry. She comes to Jamul Casino Resort from Yaamava’ Resort & Casino in Highland, California, where she oversaw the property’s expansion and the historic acquisition of Palms Casino, which became the first tribal-owned casino in Las Vegas.
Ware also has held finance positions at Penn National Gaming, William Hill US, Caesars Entertainment, and MGM Mirage.
“I’m honored to join the exceptional team at Jamul Casino Resort at such an exciting time of growth and development,” Ware said. “I look forward to contributing to the continued success of this premier gaming destination and supporting the tribe’s vision for the future.”
