The Enterprise Rancheria Tribe, the owner of Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Sacramento at Fire Mountain in California, recently announced its second annual donation in a five-year commitment to Sutter Medical Foundation.
This year’s donation is $220,000 of a $1 million commitment announced in 2024 and is distributed through the Enterprise Community Fund. It was presented at the tribe’s annual Pinktober Gala.
“Partnering with Sutter Health allows us to invest in something deeply meaningful, and that is the health and well-being of our neighbors,” Enterprise Rancheria Tribe Chairwoman Glenda Nelson said in a statement. “Through this gift, we’re helping to create a future where members of the Yuba Sutter Region can access the care they need here in this community.”
The donation is the largest received by Sutter Medical Foundation and will support the greater Yuba Sutter County cancer patient and family population through programs, services, equipment, and more.
This year, the Enterprise Community Fund also granted two gifts to other local cancer treatment organizations, including $10,000 to the Northern California American Cancer Society and $10,000 to Adventist Cancer Center in Marysville to buy infusion chairs.
“We are excited to be partnering with Enterprise Rancheria to shape the future of cancer care for everyone in our community,” Sutter North Medical Group President and CEO Dr. Steven Blair said. “Together, we’re building a more comprehensive, integrated, and connected health system that brings care closer to home.”
Sutter Health opened a new primary care clinic in Plumas Lake this spring, and a lung cancer screening program launched last year, to identify at-risk patients earlier and improve outcomes.
“As we continue to support this partnership, this $1 million gift to Sutter Medical Foundation continues our commitment to the communities we reside in and allows us to have a direct and positive impact on those in need in our region,” said Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Sacramento at Fire Mountain President Mark Birtha. “It is truly transformative.”
