As municipalities continue to recover from recent storms that caused widespread damage in California, Chukchansi Gold Resort & Casino is pitching in to help.
The gaming operator, located in Coarsegold, California, about 25 miles from Yosemite National Park, recently announced a donation of $10,000 to the American Red Cross of Central Valley and the Central California Animal Disaster Team (CCADT).
“In times of crisis, it’s critical the community comes together to provide support,” said Chukchansi Tribal Chairperson Janet K. Bill. “Chukchansi Cares supports philanthropic organizations and is a long-time advocate for the American Red Cross and animal-related efforts. We’re proud to continue to provide our support as they take on the significant challenge of helping those impacted by this disaster.”
The American Red Cross of the Central Valley mobilized relief supplies and trained workers, in addition to providing more than 10,000 meals, 60 shelters, and 3,400 overnight stays at shelters.
CCADT provide emergency shelter for small and large animals, including companion pets, horses, ponies, and goats.
Chukchansi Gold’s Chukchansi Cares program has donated over $20 million to community programs and initiatives since the casino and resort opened in 2003.
