The city of Beloit is set to welcome Ho-Chunk Gaming Beloit’s casino later this year, with construction currently 60% complete and an expected opening in September. This $700 million project is anticipated to create approximately 1,500 permanent jobs.
According to Collin Price, a Consultant for the Ho-Chunk Nation, the casino will offer various gaming options, enhancing entertainment for visitors. “It will feature about 1,500 slot machines and 44 table games across approximately 170,000 square feet of gaming space.” Additionally, it will include a parking garage with 1,500 spaces.
The casino will also have a hotel and conference center, expected to be completed by 2027. Drew Pennington, the Economic Development Director for the City of Beloit, emphasized that the conference center is crucial since the city currently lacks a large venue for such events.
