Even casual observers can see the progress of the $500 million Ho-Chunk casino being built at the corner of Willowbrook and Colley roads.
The site was still just a grassy field in November. The first walls were added in July and now the buildings are visibly taking shape.
The goal is to have “substantial completion of the casino and parking garage …. before 2026 Labor Day,” Kevin Day of Corporate Contractors Inc. said in an email.
CCI is acting as owner’s representative on the project. Miron Construction of Neenah is the general contractor.
Day didn’t have an update on an actual opening date. The Ho-Chunk Nation has maintained all along that the casino would open in “the summer of 2026.” Summer ends in 2026 on Sept 22.
