West Virginia gambling numbers are in for November, and just like last month, they show positive signs within the industry.
The state’s sports betting handle is up month-to-month, as well as its casino gambling industry. Here’s a look at the latest numbers.
In November, West Virginians gambled a little less than $70 million on sports – $69,848,039.65, to be exact.
That number represents nearly a $19 million jump from October’s sports betting handle of $51,118,726. In other words, West Virginia sports bettors gambled 36.5% more in November than the previous month.
Football is king when it comes to sports betting, so it’s no surprise the state enjoyed a bump in sports betting handle as the NFL and college football seasons continued their upward swing in November.
