The No Fairfax Casino Coalition and the Tysons Stakeholders Alliance are joining forces in Fairfax County regarding legislation that may be introduced in the next session, related to efforts to build a casino. The two entities recently teamed up to host a webinar for Fairfax County residents concerned about expected state legislative efforts to bring a casino to northern Virginia in 2026.

At this time, the candidates running for governor have not expressed their stance on this issue. Neither campaign responded to queries from the Fairfax County Times. However, Abigail Spanberger and Winsome Earle-Sears, vying for the governor’s seat, apparently have some stake in the casino vision. According to VPAP, Comstock, the developer behind building a casino in Fairfax County, created the Building a Remarkable Virginia Political Action Committee and donated $105,000 to Earle-Sears. Christopher Clemente, CEO of Comstock, donated $100,000 to Spanberger.
