Operators for the Norfolk casino project announced changes to its leadership on Monday, appointing Ronald “Ron” Bailey as the new Vice President and General Manager.
The announcement comes roughly four months after a ceremonial groundbreaking late last year and months before the operators must fulfill a regulatory requirement to have a temporary casino structure on the grounds by November 2025.
Bailey, a 13-year employee of Boyd Gaming, most recently held the same title at the Valley Forge Casino Resort in Pennsylvania, which is located just outside of Philadelphia.
“As one of Boyd’s most experienced property leaders, Ron is the ideal candidate to lead the Norfolk Casino team,” said Keith Smith, President and Chief Executive Officer of Boyd Gaming.
