The UK’s Department of Health and Social Care has opened expressions of interest for a £30m [$40m] gambling harm prevention fund aimed at voluntary and community sector organizations, with applications set to launch in January.

The voluntary and community sector gambling harm prevention and resilience fund will run over two years, as part of the transition to the government’s new statutory levy system.

A civil servant outlined three funding strands during an information session on Wednesday (26 October), highlighting the expression of interest phase, which opened this week, will close on 9 January, with the full grant application window opening three days later on 12 January.
