A bingo hall in east Manchester looks set to close affecting over a dozen jobs. Buzz Bingo have announced plans to close nine of their 91 clubs across the country.

One of those earmarked for closure is the club at Belle Vue near Gorton. Bosses are blaming the dwindling number of players following the Covid lockdowns as well as the ‘ongoing and challenging operating environment’ of increased energy bills and other costs.

The jobs of 151 of the firm’s 2,456 staff are now at risk across the country… The company they will support those affected. No date for the proposed closure has yet been given.
