America’s commercial casinos won nearly $79 billion from gamblers in 2025, a record total fueled by surging internet gambling and sports betting, the industry’s national trade group said Thursday.
Figures released by the American Gaming Association show that the casinos had $78.72 billion in gross revenue last year, an increase of 9.2% over 2024 levels.
The figures do not include tribal casinos, which report their revenue separately later in the year.
“For another year, legal commercial gaming in the United States has delivered exceptional results for consumers, operators, and the communities we serve,” said Bill Miller, President and CEO of the American Gaming Association. “These record revenues and tax contributions demonstrate the broad appeal of regulated gaming markets, and why strong state oversight remains essential as our industry evolves.”
