Two sportsbooks refunded bettors because of a controversial UFC fight, and a massive pre-match odds shift has raised suspicion in the industry.
Caesars Sportsbook and William Hill announced after featherweight fighter Yadier Del Valle submitted heavily favored Isaac Dulgarian in the first round in Las Vegas on Saturday that losing customers would receive a cash credit within 24 hours.
Dulgarian was reportedly released by the UFC on Sunday morning.
The promotion released a statement Monday afternoon, adding that the UFC takes the “allegations very seriously.” Yahoo Sports reported that the betting line on Dulgarian plummeted from -240 to -160 just before the fight.
