Sports Interaction, after receiving an internet gaming license from the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario last week, was officially approved by iGaming Ontario [Monday] as a regulated operator in the province.

The Kahnawà:ke-based company joins a busy (and competitive) market that has more than 20 regulated operators since the province’s April 4 launch, offering online sports betting and casino games in what is currently the second-most populous legal sports betting market in North America (behind only New York).

The news also allows Entain Plc, the U.K.-based company that acquired Sports Interaction in February, to further strengthen its position in Canada.
