Spirit Airlines’ plan to escape Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection doesn’t bode well for Las Vegas travelers who use the airline.

The Florida-based deep discount airline, which cut Las Vegas routes and laid off nearly 400 Las Vegas-based flight attendants in the fall, may be looking at additional route cuts involving Harry Reid International Airport, aviation analysts say.

The company on Tuesday announced that it had reached agreements in principle on key terms of restructuring with its creditors involving cutting some routes, particularly in western markets, and selling aircraft.

While Spirit’s announcement didn’t specify cuts to Las Vegas, analysts are convinced that the airline will have fewer flights to and from Reid beyond the cuts at Albuquerque, New Mexico; Portland, Oregon; and Sacramento, and San Diego, California, announced in the fall.
