Foxwoods Resort Casino recently said goodbye to both a restaurant and a nightclub that had been at the destination for over a decade.
Big Night Entertainment Group announced the closing of the Shrine nightclub and Red Lantern restaurant on Shrine’s website. The company operated both locations and owns other spots of Foxwoods, including the Grace by Nia restaurant, Guy Fieri’s Foxwoods Kitchen & Bar, High Rollers luxury bowling alley and Scorpion nightclub.
Shrine was a 21,000-square-foot nightclub originally opened in 2008. Musicians performed at the venue over the years, including Avicii, Steve Aoki, Dirty South, DJ Enferno, Snoop Dogg, DJ Skribble and DJ Scene, according to Bar & Restaurant News.
