Just weeks after workers at Seamark Seafood & Cocktails in Encore Boston Harbor voted to unionize, the restaurant announced that it will shut down at the end of the month.
Seamark, which opened on the first floor of the Everett casino less than two years ago, confirmed the closure to the Globe in an emailed statement Tuesday, saying the last day of service would be March 29. Seamark, operated by Las Vegas-based Carver Road Hospitality, said it was a “difficult decision,” and pointed to ”economic challenges.”
“While the team remained optimistic that improving market conditions in 2025 and into 2026 would allow the business to turn the corner, those expectations ultimately did not materialize,” the statement said.
