Daily fantasy sports operator PrizePicks has secured gaming licenses in Puerto Rico and Maine and has become the first operator to secure licensure in Puerto Rico.
The company confirmed that its fantasy sports platform Arena is now live for players in Maine, while Puerto Rico operations are expected to launch in the coming months. Once active, PrizePicks will operate in 47 jurisdictions across the United States.
“We’re grateful to the Puerto Rico Gaming Commission and the Maine Gambling Control Unit for their partnership and support throughout the licensure process,” Adam Packer, Senior Vice President of Legal and Compliance at PrizePicks, said in a news release. “We’ve seen tremendous engagement with Arena across the country, and we’re confident that momentum will carry into these new jurisdictions.”
