A Strip casino is moving ahead with a pool renovation during one of the coldest stretches of the winter, with work progressing as Las Vegas looks toward milder temperatures and the start of pool season.
Work is underway at Luxor hotel-casino, where crews have already demolished one of the resort’s pools and begun construction of a new pool area. Parent company MGM Resorts International said it is replacing what it internally calls its south pool with a new pool that will offer more deck space.
The company did not provide a timeline or expected cost of the project.
An MGM Resorts spokesperson said hotel guests will have access to at least one pool at Luxor if the remodel is still taking place when the weather warms up.
