PokerStars has updated its list of restricted jurisdictions once again, with prohibitions now extended to more than 100 countries.
While it is not clear exactly which new countries have been placed on the list, it is thought to focus on African nations. There are no known withdrawals from geographic regions that would represent a noticeable portion of their customer base.
It has expanded the list of players prohibited from playing real money online poker, the company’s freemium social poker app, and its pure play money tables, PRO understands.
The prohibited list with some form of play restriction is now over 100 countries long—over half of all countries in the world.
