On June 30, Play Maverick Sports announced that its online and mobile sportsbooks ceased operations, effective immediately. The company said at the time that its retail sportsbooks would remain open. Kiosks continued to operate at all three of its Colorado casinos. Grand Z Casino would staff its ticket counter during major events, according to the June 30 statement.
This week, a Black Hawk casino patron tweeted that the sportsbook at Z Casino had a sign saying it is closed. US Casino Advantage reached out to Grand Z Casino, the flagship of the three Maverick Gaming casinos in Colorado, this morning. An employee confirmed that the entire Colorado sportsbook operation was permanently closed. There are no more kiosks on any of the company’s Colorado properties.
