Rivers Casino Pittsburgh has delivered a $3.3 million payment that goes towards the construction expense for the PPG Paints Arena, home to the Pittsburgh Penguins. The Sports & Exhibition Authority of Pittsburgh and Allegheny County and the casino jointly announced that $112.5 million has now been provided by the casino to date.

The $3.3 million payment marks the halfway point of a 30-year agreement between the facility and PPG Paints Arena.

Rivers Casino Pittsburgh contributes $7.5 million a year to the SEA over two payments. The first of which comes in April and the second occurs in October.

The second payment in October would put the Pennsylvania casino at nearly $116 million in total payments.
