The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB) approved a change of ownership that involves Happy Valley Casino during a monthly meeting on Wednesday. The ownership of the upcoming property has shifted to Saratoga Casino Holdings from SC Gaming.
Saratoga Casino Holdings now owns 60% of SC Gaming, and is now in charge of the development and management of the establishment. The two sides agreed to the deal in March, which became official on Wednesday.
SC Gaming remained the full decision-maker until the PGCB granted approval, including naming the facility, Happy Valley Casino, last month. SC Gaming paid a change of control 0f $1 million to the PGCB, which is then turned over to the Commonwealth.
