Parx Casino Shippensburg distributed lots of money Thursday and everyone was a winner.

The casino marked its one-year anniversary next week by giving out donations to fire companies, EMS, The Shippensburg Chamber, and several non-profits.

This is the casino’s commitment to the community by promising to give out $100,000 to groups that make the area safe and successful.

“People sometimes have a prove it perspective, and hearing that, tells us, the idea we told the community we’re going to do, we have done, and we’re proving it every year by the give back we’ve done with the community here,” general manager for the casino Kevin Brady said.
