Parx Shippensburg will soon have casino chips for the first time.
And that’s because on Wednesday, the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board approved a petition by Parx Shippensburg to include traditional table games for the first time.
Since the casino opened back in 2023, it has had a hybrid gaming table setup in the middle of its facility, which includes 48 electronic table game terminals with blackjack, roulette, and three-card poker, with live dealers dealing real cards and spinning a real roulette wheel.
At a Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board hearing on Wednesday in Harrisburg, the casino outlined its plans to replace its hybrid gaming table setup with traditional table games.
