On Thursday, the Spirit Mountain Casino hosted the inaugural Northwest/West Coast Indigenous Fashion Show and Marketplace featuring 17 designers and over 100 models, all from indigenous communities.

At 6 p.m., the one-of-a-kind event began.

“We have intentionally crafted this event to be a welcoming and positive representation of the artistry of the Indigenous community,” Keeli Littleleaf, event organizer, artist, and member of the Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs said. “We kick off the show with an artist who crafts traditional regalia and then delve into the story of what fashion means to us.”

Seventeen indigenous designers and 120 models were featured in the show.
