Most Granite Staters understand that casino gambling’s explosive growth across New Hampshire has shifted from small, locally owned, charity-focused venues to out-of-state corporate casino behemoths focused on profits, expansion, and aggressive marketing. This gambling environment, dominated by some of the world’s largest casino companies, is vastly different from what was originally envisioned and promised for New Hampshire. The impacts extend well beyond casino walls, affecting neighborhoods, municipalities, public health, and families across our state.

Unlike many states that carefully considered casino legalization and its consequences — before legalization — New Hampshire provides virtually no recourse, choice, or compensation for the added costs borne by local taxpayers in cities and towns hosting a casino.
