Remington Park recently celebrated the 20th anniversary of its casino operations, marking two decades of contributions to Oklahoma’s education system and economic development.
The casino opened November 28, 2005, following passage of State Question 712, which authorized electronic gaming at horse racing tracks throughout Oklahoma. The facility, originally established as a horse racetrack in 1988, was purchased by Global Gaming Solutions, a Chickasaw Nation subsidiary, in 2010.
“Oklahoma voters and their support for State Question 712 over 20 years ago helped make this milestone possible,” said Dan Boren, Global Gaming Solutions board chairman. “That support was the catalyst for Remington Park‘s continued success and positive economic impacts.”
