There is an old adage that says, “A ship is only as good as its captain,” one local casino believes that to be true, attributing its success to its leader.
Comanche Spur Casino appointed Kellie McCarthy as general manager in 2024 and said in a recent press release that her leadership “has driven the casino to new heights of success.”
For McCarthy, the journey started years before.
“The Comanche Spur Casino has been a part of my life since I was young,” McCarthy said. “My mom and grandma used to take me to the old Spur to grab burgers and nachos.”
